The purpose of a chicken

"I think," he said carefully "that this is for me." He nodded at the silk-wrapped package on the counter. "Likely left by an unreasonably attractive elf girl?"

The baker looked up, giving the wizard a wary glance, then nodded. "Aye, yer the wizard down the street, right? She said t' give ye this as well. You'll need it, for something..." And he produced a white handkerchief, which contained a few scraps of leftover chicken.

The silk-wrapped parcel, smaller than his palm, contained a small alabaster bottle, stoppered with a cork. Uncorking it released the scent of dragon's blood, which had more than once driven him mad when she wore it in her thick black mane...

Shaking off the images the dragon's blood conjured to mind, he took his parcels and leave. "What in the world do I need chicken for?" He opened to the next bookmark.

Part of an RP between myself and Koreal's owner, He was wondering OOC what the chicken was for, and said that every time he said that, he pictured his poor wizard holding up a cartoon chicken and wondering the same thing. I just HAD to draw it. Took me about an hour and a half from sketch to posted.
