Pointy's Arsenal, part 1

Not the greatest photo, but a photo nonetheless of all (or nearly all) of my miscellaneous sharp things. I forgot to add my pen knives, I can't find my lipstick knife, and I think I gave my bayonet to someone, but other than those, this is my collection of sharp things.

Interestingly, while some of them are crappy replicas or not sharp at all, or both, some of them are indeed functional, live steel blades that do require oiling and maintenance between uses. (Yes, I use them.)

The sharpest thing on that table, though, is the tiny red-handled blade toward the bottom, in between the hilt of Glamdring (blue grip) and the blade of one of Drizzt's swords. That little blade is an artist's scraper tool, and it is triangular bladed like a stiletto, and razor sharp not only at the point but along the edges, because it, like a high-end kitchen knife, is intended to be a functional tool, not a fancy replica weapon.

For sheer joy of use though, it's gotta be the dao to the far left, with the red silk. It's well balanced, comfortable in the hand, fairly light, and cuts like a dream. It, and the jian on the far right with the rosewood and brass scabbard, are my two live steel blades that require oiling.

...all this and I couldn't manage to get my replica battle mace and my longbow in the picture. I settled for my bladed weapons. Hence, arsenal, part 1.
